International Cooperation and Research


As a young and expanding institution, we seek to develop contacts with regional, national and international partners.
Considering that the Jan Amos Komensky University Prague was founded as recently as 2001, a history of international co-operation has already been well established. The university is a member of the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) and the European University Association and presently cooperates with schools and other educational/training institutions particularly in Germany, Denmark, Austria, Great Britain, France, Finland and Slovakia. History of Research


Research in the field of lifelong learning and adult education started in early in 90's through Komensky Academy. Jan Amos Komensky University further developed these research targets:
Research and expected future orientation:
1. Special education and further development of doctoral studies.
2. Human resources development - The research continues in previous activities in the field of lifelong learning, highlighting issues of equality and open and individual needs focused education.
3. Lifelong-learning network (national, international) - communication and information space about pilot projects, initiatives and good practices in adult education.
4. Applicable research in the field of adult education - i.e. preparing and realization of learning programs, as well as other development activities.
5. Research in the field of media communications - i.e. the effects of media education.
