Project goals
The project is to conceptualize distance education in Kazakhstan and to define the general framework of standards in distance education, which are harmonized with EU standards. Project will contribute to developing platform for the set of standards on the basis of common definition of the distance education.

With regard to specific characteristics of distance education, it seems to be more logical to form the system from the top, beginning with establishing a national centre for distance education, which becomes a centre for coordinating the development of distance education in individual schools. These schools can further create distance education centres for specific study programs, which they would like to offer in a distance form. In the project we will make use of the experience gained from actualised activities of the project partners from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
